About
Why Coalesce.
The Team
Two co-founders, one protocol.
Ayush Nainwal
I'm Co-Founder and CEO/CTO at Coalesce, a blockchain engineer and researcher working at the intersection of distributed systems, cryptography, and Bitcoin infrastructure. I graduated from IIT Jodhpur, and I'm building Coalesce from the ground up with my cofounder, because we don't want Bitcoin's future financial infrastructure to recreate the centralized architecture Bitcoin was built to challenge.
Bitcoin gave us a decentralized settlement layer, but the systems being built around it still fragment liquidity: capital gets divided across users, channels, and counterparties, and coordinating it gets harder as the number of participants grows. I got interested in whether that could be solved at the protocol level, by letting participants coordinate around shared Bitcoin liquidity instead of treating every relationship as its own separate connection. That question became Coalesce.
The goal is bigger than a payment protocol: infrastructure where businesses, institutions, and individuals can coordinate capital directly on Bitcoin, without surrendering control of their assets just because the underlying system can't coordinate liquidity efficiently on its own. Coalesce is the beginning of that.
Atharva Kamble
I'm Co-Founder and COO at Coalesce. I focus on the business side of the company, working across product direction, market research, partnerships, and operations. My interest in financial markets and blockchain started from a broader curiosity about how money moves and how financial infrastructure can be made more efficient.
I studied at IIT Jodhpur, where I worked on research around blockchain, cryptography, and decentralized systems. I've also been involved in academic research, including a co-authored paper on zero-knowledge proof systems published as part of the ACM Web Conference 2026.
At Coalesce, I'm focused on understanding the problems faced by real users and institutions, figuring out where better infrastructure can make a difference, and helping turn those ideas into products. I enjoy working at the intersection of technology, financial markets, and business, and I'm particularly interested in building infrastructure that can support how digital assets and financial markets evolve.
We're building the financial infrastructure we believe Bitcoin should have had from the start: open, non-custodial, cryptographically enforced, and capable of coordinating many participants around the same liquidity.
